Terms of Use

1. Acceptance

By accessing Clipboard+—including its extension, applications, website, cloud service, or API—you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you use Clipboard+ for an organization, you represent that you can bind it to these Terms.

2. Service Description

Clipboard+ provides clipboard history, text expansion, the Clipboard+ for desktop desktop app (clipboard history and on-device voice dictation), optional cloud sync, and a personal developer API. Features may change, be suspended, or be discontinued. We aim for reliable service but do not promise uninterrupted availability.

3. User Accounts

You must provide accurate information, be at least 13 (and meet any higher local minimum age), and protect passwords and API keys. You are responsible for activity under your credentials. Promptly revoke exposed keys and notify us of suspected unauthorized access.

4. Data

You retain your rights in content you submit. You grant Aperca LLC a limited license to host, process, transmit, and back up that content solely to operate, secure, and improve the service. You are responsible for having the right to process content you submit and for maintaining any backup you require. History, recordings, and settings kept only on your device are under your control; we cannot recover them if they are deleted or lost. The desktop app sends anonymous diagnostics as described in the Privacy Policy, which you can turn off at any time.

5. Acceptable Use

Do not use Clipboard+ to violate law or others' rights; distribute malware; probe, disrupt, scrape, or overload the service; bypass limits or security controls; share or resell personal API access; or access another person's data. Automated use must follow published documentation and rate limits. We may restrict or terminate abusive access.

6. Third-party services and open-source components

Clipboard+ may interoperate with browsers, app stores, hosting providers, and other third-party services governed by their own terms. If you connect your own third-party service to Clipboard+ (for example, a transcription or text AI provider using your API key), your use of that service is governed by its terms, and you are responsible for that arrangement, including any charges the provider makes. Open-source components remain subject to their respective licenses.

7. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Clipboard+ is provided “as is” and “as available,” without express or implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, or data preservation. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aperca LLC and its suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the service will not exceed the greater of US $100 or the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months.

9. Termination

You may stop using Clipboard+ and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for a material breach, security risk, legal requirement, or service abuse. Provisions that logically survive termination will remain in effect.

10. Governing law and changes

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable where Aperca LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts with jurisdiction there will hear disputes unless applicable consumer law requires otherwise. We may update these Terms; material changes will receive reasonable notice where required. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
